Tennessee's Central Region is generally defined by the Tennessee River to the west, and the Central/Eastern Time Zone line to the east.  Totally enclosed in the region is the Upper Cumberland Plateau, a land of modern innovation settled alongside long forgotten country charm.  Visit the plateau to experience down home Tennessee hospitality.

Nashville is the crown jewel of Central Tennessee and of country music. Don't miss the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry. Nashville also has plenty to offer the history buff, with its antebellum homes and historic battlefields.

Those with a sporting mindset can visit the Nashville Superspeedway, take in a Tennessee Titans football game or enjoy one of the many golf courses.

Outdoor adventure also awaits equestrians along the Tennessee Walking Horse Trail. Central Tennessee features the winding Cumberland and Tennessee Rivers, two of the only rivers in the country which leave and re-enter a state. Take a ride down the Cumberland on the General Jackson Showboat.
